The line graph illustrates how many people participated in four distinct sports in a specific region from 1985 to 2005.
Overall, the number of people taking part in Tennis particularly rose, while that for Rugby underwent a dramatic downward trend and reached the lowest point. In addition, the figure for Basketball and Badminton experienced the same trend and remained stable.
In terms off Rugby, the number of people joining this sport started at nearly 250 participants, which was the highest category in 1985; after which it saw a slight decrease by 50 people in 1995, where two lines of Tennis and Rugby intersected each other, and dramatically decline onwards to the lowest point, at 50 people in 2005. In marked contrast, Tennis participants had 150 people at first; afterwards, the figure grew exponentially and reached the peak of 220 people in 2005.
Regarding other sports, these two categories had the same pattern although the starting point of Basketball was a bit higher than that of Badminton, at 55 and 50 joiners respectively. Two patterns remained stable throughout the whole period; whereas, Badminton players had the same number as that of Rugby, which represented the lowest figure, at 50 people.
