The line graph illustrates the rate of students opting for online or traditional learning by the years of 2010-2018. Overall, we can see two mainly trends between those, one with a positive pattern and the other with a negative one.
In 2010, only 15% of students chose online learning, whereas 85% preferred traditional learning. Over the following years, the percentage of online learners rose gradually to 25% in 2012 and 40% in 2014. At the same time, traditional learning decreased from 85% to 75% and then to 60%.
In 2016, online learning reached 55%, overtaking traditional learning, which fell to 45%. This trend continued until 2018, when online learning peaked at 70%. In contrast, the percentage of students choosing traditional learning dropped further to 30%, the lowest figure shown on the graph.
In conclusion, the graph shows a clear shift in students’ preferences from traditional learning to online learning during the period presented.
