The graph represents the amount of vegetarians within youth in the UK during the last sixty decades. The first survey was conducted in 1960 with the lowest amount of such diet attenders, this kind of behaviour was absolutely uncommon for that time.
There have been few peaks so far, approximately 15% in 1980 and around 10% from 2010 to 2020 each year. The highest points are always followed by steady growths, which means that social habits of young people are not easy to be changed quickly.
However, the sharp drop of people in the period from 1980 to 1990 is noticeable, virtually 8% of youth switched to another form of diet. Although in the beginning of the 90s there was a small growth in people, it was followed by the next decrease of about 3%.
In conclusion, the number of adolescents following a vegetarian diet is constantly changing and wiggling. Despite the peaks in 1980 and after 2010, it is hard to say if the current number will remain the same.
