The line graph illustrates the proportion of cinema-goers at least once a month by four demographics during 1984-2004 period.

From 1993 to 2002, this group climbed remarkably and fluctuated around 33% – 55%. In 2004, it reached its peak of 56%. In contrast, the 35 and over age group had an initial rate of 2% and grew gradually at the subsequent years. This group witnessed a rise of 8% in 1999 and 13% at the end of the period.
Regarding to the other groups, there were around 5% of the 25-35 group and 10% of the 7-14 group that went to the cinema at least once per month. The younger group went up to 30% in 1999 and reached its peak of 38% in 2003. About the 7-14 group, it climbed steady and recorded a growth by 20% in 1998. The 7-14 group peaked at 32% in 2002. Both two groups declined to 30% in the final year.
