Overall, it is clear that visits at the weekends were relatively higher, particularly on Saturday, while other weekdays were much lower. Friday, Saturday and Sunday accounted the highest share, with Saturday remaining the peak day of the period.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday showed much bigger figures compared to other categories. On Friday, the percentage of attendance remained unchanged at 30% throughout. Saturday rose from 40% in 2003 to a peak of 45% in 2005 before declining slightly to 42% in 2007. Sunday visits showed similar trend, climbing from 30% to 35% and then dropping marginally to 32% in the final year.
By contrast, the figures were smaller for the remaining categories. Monday recorded 10% in 2003, rose to 14% in 2005, and dropped to 13% in 2007. Tuesday and Thursday attendance fluctuated, with former between 20% and 18%, with dip to 16% in 2005 and latter between 17% and 19%, reduction to 13% in 2005. Wednesday experienced a steady decline from 16% to 14% and then to 8%, showing the smallest figure overall.
