The line graph comprised some data about the average proportion of people who participated in three different activities such as swimming, team sports, and gym in a UK sports club every five years from 1983 to 2003.
Overall, the percentage of those joining the swimming club significantly decreased over the given period, whereas members of the gym activities presented the opposite trend. In addition, the proportion of participants in team sports remained stable.
At the beginning of the period, we can see that swimming was the most favorite sport of the three activities in the UK sport club, with the proportion standing at 50%, decreasing dramatically to approximately 15% in 1998, followed by leveling out until 2003. On the other hand, the proportion of members in the gym activity accounted for around 5% prior to growing sharply to a quarter in 1998, and the proportion was constant in the next three years. While the percentage of team sports members fluctuate over the rest of the period, returning to its initial figure in 1983.
