The graph gives information about the percentage of participation in various activities in a UK sports club over the years from 1995 to 2015.
Overall, the participation in the swimming club decreased sharply over years, while the gym activities club had a huge increase in rates.
Starting at 50%, swimming clubs saw a slight fall in participation to around 42% in 2000. Over the next 10 years, it had a dramatic drop reaching its lowest point of 15%, and then stabilized. Swimming had a huge decrease beginning from being the highest, and ending up being the lowest on the graph. In contrast, gym activities had a rapid overall rise and stabilization in 2010 from being on the bottom at the starting point, to approximately 25%, which makes it the second highest so far.
Meanwhile, the rates of team sports participation remained unchanged for 5 years, at around 32%, and increased gradually over the period from 2000 to 2010, reaching its peak of 40%. Team sports is still the highest on the graph, despite the fact that it fell again to 32% in 2015.
