The pie charts illustrates the production of rice between the years 1985 and 2005 in different Asian countries – China, Korea, Japan, and Vietnam.
Overall, a significant change in production rates across the countries can be observed, with some increasing and others declining.
In 1985, China and Vietnam, occupied two thirds of the production rates, however a noticeable decrease for both countries was recorded in 2005, recording one third production rates across all 4 countries. In addition, Korea which already had low rice production in 1985 fell even further in 2005.
By contrast, Japan’s production rose substantially from approximately one third to around two thirds between 1985 and 2005, respectively.
In conclusion, the charts indicate a dramatical change in production over the years. With an incline for Japan, and a decrease for Vietnam, Japan and Korea.
