Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that ownerships of computer in the United Kingdom have increased steadily over the mentioned period. Similarly, irrespective of the educational level, ownerships also increased in each level from 2000 to 2010; however, those with no school diploma had the lowest percentage in both years.
In 2000, ownerships of computers in Britain started at slightly above 50%, then the percentage went up by almost 15% in the next two years, reaching nearly 70% in 2002 . From this point, ownerships rose gradually, peaking at almost 80% in 2010.
Reagarding the ownerships of computer devices by levels of education, all levels had an increase in the percentage from 2000 to 2010, with those who have a master’s degree or other postgraduate degree having the highest percentges in 2000 at 75% and nearly 78%, respectively. These numbers have risen in after 10 years, reaching amost the same proportion for both levels at almost 85%. In contrast, individuals who have no high school degree had the lowest the percentage in both years at 25% in 2000 and almost 30% in 2010.
