From 1990 to 2000, a figure of total UK demand increased approximately, at 14 millions tonens. The second figure of UK production started approximately at 17 millions tonens in 1970. Then, it has considerably been leveled off between 1980 and 2000. The last figure of imports started at 0 in 1970 followed by a significant improve for 30 years, accounting for 6 millions tonens.
Regarding the number employed in UK steel industry experienced significantly a decrease for 10 years, but in 1980 it sharply felt. After, between 1980 and 2000 it steadily declined approximately, at 48 millions tonens.
