The graphs illustrate the sum of money spent on protected crops and how crops were harmed in Australia, Europe, and Africa in 2005. Overall, it can be clearly seen Australia was the highest from money spent on crop protection and crops damaged which was from floods.
In the beginning of 2005, Australia already spent the money on protection crops which was about 550 million dollars. Continuing to June where it had decreased to two-fifths of 1000 million dollars. The crops that were spent on money protection had upgraded again to 600 million dollars which was the same at the beginning. In the end, there was a gap of about 100 million dollars before reaching the billions of dollars. Also, Australia still had their crops damaged by floods up to 900 thousand hectares which was the highest rather than insects and fires.
On the other hand, Europe spent a lot of money at the start of 2005 which was four-fifths of 1 billion dollars. It significantly decreased by 350 million dollars until the end of the period. Even though all the money Europe spent on protection corps, it was still damaged again, which summed to about one kilo hectares. This was caused by floods, which were the highest, insects and fires.
Furthermore, Africa was different, which was the lowest of them all. This country spent their funds on protected crops which was about one-fourths of it. It had a small increase, going up by 100 million dollars. The crops which were protected were not really that protected because insects and fires were already consuming their land, about 700 hectares and 600 hectares, respectively.
