Overall, more drama movies have been made than any others, however, comedy is still chosen the most by the audience. Furthermore, romance movies were this country’s least popular type of film.

In the first year of this survey, 1996, drama films took the lead with more than 26%, the second place belonged to comedy with approximately 20%, and fantasy stayed behind with about 12% and romance at nearly 7%.
