The diagram illustrates the genres of music albums bought by people in Britain in concordance with gender and age.
Overall, in almost all of the graphs individuals aged 25-34 retained the highest figures. In addition, men tend to buy more albums than women, regardless of the type.
To begin with, in the Pop music category, 25-34 age group bought most of the albums, which is just over 30%. Nevertheless, 16-24 group did not stand aside and they were also around 30%, little less than 25-34. The lowest amount of albums purchased was by people who are 45 years old and more, because as research shows people who are in that age tend to listen less music in that genre. In the Rock music category, figures are almost similar to Pop music’s. They are slightly fewer, and in this genre people aged 25-34 also dominated, having the highest proportion.
Furthermore, the proportion of 45+ aged individuals is substantially increased in Classical music genre, which accounted for 20%. People aged 25-34 did not stand aside in this category as well and was the second highest in the graph. Interestingly, people between 35 and 44 were one of the least customers; however, they were expected to be more than 25-34 age group. And 16 to 24 individuals were the least.
