Overall, while cartoons and sports are preferred by younger viewers (10-15 years old), teenagers and young adults are especially interested in drama, films, and news. Of particular note is that cartoon and sport viewership decrease as age increases.
Focusing on the younger audience, sport and cartoon made up the largest share, at 26% for both. This was followed closely by drama and film watchers, with respective figures of 23% and 19%. By contrast, news programs were not as popular as others, with a marginal 6% of viewers.
As for the group of people aged between 16 and 20, drama viewers accounted for 30%, making it the dominant sector, compared to 23% watching films, slightly higher than the figure for news, at 18%. Furthermore, the figures for cartoons and sport TV shows constituted only 15% and 14%, respectively.
By contrast, while a staggering 33% of young adults watched news, a minimal 4% showed interest in sport shows. Interestingly, the gap between cartoon, film, and drama viewers narrowed down, ranging between 20% and 22%.
