These pie charts demonstrate the ratio of the macronutrients, such as carbohydrates, protein and fat, in three different diets: an average diet, a healthy diet and a healthy diet for sportsmen.
Among all types of diets, it is clear that carbohydrates represent the largest portion of each diet, scaling up from 40 per cent in an average diet, to 50 per cent in a healthy one, and having the largest share in a healthy diet for sport. Protein has the second-highest ratio in all three diets, the greater portion by means of 40 per cent is undoubtedly in an average diet, a healthy diet has 10 per cent less share of protein, and in a healthy sport diet it is only a quarter of the whole amount. Fat percentage in terms of macronutrients ratio is the smallest one, at 20 per cent in both average and healthy diets, whereas in a healthy sport diet it took a smaller fraction of just 15 per cent.
Overall, comparing the presented pie charts, there may be observed a quite similar distribution in both healthy and average diets, while differences between them and a healthy sport diet are more noticeable, mainly in the proportion of carbohydrates, which may be considered as the main nutrition need for sportspeople, according to this chart.
