The provided charts illustrates the employment rates of males and females in 2 age groups 60 and 64 years old in Belgium, the USA, Japan and Indonesia between 1970 and 2000.
In general, it is worth noticing that men always had higher employment proportion than women over the period. Moreover, the percentage of males who were employed in the USA dominated the chart in two aforementioned years.
Looking first at the data for the USA, 86% of males from 60 to 64 years old who had job recruitment compared to a bit slower proportion of females at 78% in 1970, before declining to 78% and 45% respectively after 30-year period. The employment rates of Belgium were 79% and 63% for men and women in the year 1970, the figure for males decreased to 52% while that of the latter’s percentage witnessed a dramatical drop of 55% in 2000.
Turning next to others countries, 84% males and 65% in ages 60 to 64 got jobs in Indenesia at the beginning of the period, they then both dropped to 74% and a half after 30 years. Following the similar pattern, the data for both sexes in Japan declined from 84% and 65% to 74% and a half in 2000.
