The two maps demonstrate the design of lakeside city/town in the period between 2000 and 2009.
In 2000, the town had a central river running from the northeastern lake to the southwest dividing the city into two parts. The western bank of the river accommodated a derelic warehouse, an old town, a school, and two residential areas. On the far west was another residential area with an art centre built to its south. The eastern riverbank was the location of industrial and residential complexes.
In 2009, the northern residential zone and the school were the only unchanged facilities. However, the warehouse was replaced by a new car park, the old town was redeveloped into offices and a university, the art centre was changed into a cinema, and the southern housing area was transformed into a shopping centre. Regarding the eastern side of the river, the whole area was reconstructed to feature a large industrial complex.
Overall, the city witnessed significant modifications in the given period. New recreational facilities were developed along with residential and industrial complexes.
