The two maps illustrate the current layout of Hunderstone town and a proposed future development.
Overall, the town is set to undergo significant urban development, including the replacement of the airfield with an industrial estate, the addition of new road infrastructure, and improved access to the town center.
At present, the town is structured around the A2 main road, which leads to a roundabout in the west. An airfield lies to the northwest, and a gas station is located southwest along the A2. A railway runs vertically through the area, separating the town center and built-up area, which are enclosed by a ring road to the southeast.
In the proposed plan, the airfield will be removed and replaced by an industrial estate. A second roundabout is planned at the intersection near the railway, and a new road (A4) will form a southern bypass linking both sides of the town. The gas station will remain, now situated near the A4. While the railway and core layout are retained, road connectivity is significantly enhanced, indicating a shift toward industrial growth and improved traffic flow.
