However, employment remained the most common reason for relocation throughout most of the period. In contrast, adventure and moving for family or friends were the least popular reasons, despite experiencing gradual increases.
Regarding employment, which was the most common reason, the number of people started at 60,000 and continued to rise, reaching a peak of over 90,000 in 2010. After that, it slightly declined to 85,000 by the end of the period. In terms of studying, the figure began at 25,000 and grew steadily year by year, reaching a high of 85,000.
When it comes to moving for family and friends, the number started at around 10,000 and increased to approximately 23,000 by the end of the period. As for adventure, which was the least common reason, it showed only a slight increase, reaching about 15,000.
