The diagram above demonstrates the citizens causes for migrating to a particular country’s capital city between the years 2000 and 2015. Some causes mentioned are career, study, friends or family, and lastly, entertainment.
Overall, people travel to the mainland for school and job opportunities. In the year 2000, studying was the reason for 25,000 persons, while employment was the drive for slightly more than 60,000 persons. By the year 2015, both studying and working were the purpose for aroun 88 thousand individuals. This has been a dramatic rise for schools, contrasting to that for jobs as it faced a moderate drop from figures of the year 2010.
The other two factors have had remarkably lower impact on residents at a number of over 10 thousand. Adventure did not grow much higher, nearing but never reaching beyond 20,000 migrations. Citizens moving for loved ones, however, gradually doubled in number, though not comparable to the increase of the above two causes.
