It is clear that the figure for US government investing money in four fields like Health, Genaeral Science, Space, Energy, the opposite was true for Other ones. Also, it is notable that Health was the most popular sector for most of the period.
Starting at 8 billion of Dollars in 1980, the amount of money that was spent on health care in the United States decreased to around 6 billion. By contrast, the investment of US government in General Science was only 3 billion of Dollars in the year 1980 and remained stable the same at this figure within 12 years from 1980 to 1992. At the same time, the government funding for medical care witnessed a significant increase to roughly 14 billion of Dollars, reaching a peak at approximately 21billion in 2004, and then slightly decreased to nearly 19 billion of Dollars. In the next 16 years starting from 1992, the government spending money on research into General Science increased substantially to 5 billion, which was lower than that of Health in the last year.
At the beginning, USA goverment spent the same amount of money on research into Space and Energy, with just over 6 billion of Dollars on each, while Other fields were funded above 8 billion. In the next 4 years, a stability at 5 bilion was seen in the figure for government providing financial support for Space, Energy and Other sectors. Over the period from 1992 to 2008, the government incentives in Space saw a considerable upward trend at 9 billion of Dollars. During this period, the quantity of money that expenditure on Other climbed to 8 billion, but later fell by nearly 3 billion of Dollars in 2008. Meanwhile, the amount of public money that goverment help on Energy appeared a fluctuation and then increased to 7 billion of Dollars at the end of the period.
