The line graph illustrates the data on average participation at the cinema among different age groups in the USA between 2000 to 2011. The trend is measured by percentages.
Overall, it is clear that all the age groups fluctuated throughout the period except for the age of 35 and over.
Regarding the line graph, the share of 15 to 24 year old going to the cinema on average experienced the most fluctuation over the period. Having at nearly 20% in 2000, then rising dramatically to 50% in 2007, before recording a gradual increase to at around 60, it witnessed a slight increase from 50 to 35. In contrast, the figure for the 35 and over age group was lowest over the period with 2% initially, this group showed a considerable increase and peaked at approximately 12 in 2011.
According the last 2 groups, the age groups 7 to 14 and 14 to 35 fluctuated substantially and recorded a similar trend over the period. They firstly intersected with each other in 2005 with nearly 13%, then the group of age from 7-14 started to rise significantly.By the end of the period this tho groups from 7-14 and 14-35 get the same share.
