The chart illustrates the percentage of employment rates in three working sectors in the USA between 1975 and 2030. Overall, while an employment rate in services shows a dramatic increase, agriculture exhibits a noticeable decline. As for manufacturing, the figure is predicted to stay unchanged throughout the period. Notably, it is expected that services will show the highest employment rate out of all sectors.
Looking at the sector with an upward trend, the employment rate in services accounted for roughly 10% in 1975. The figure then rose slightly to around 15% in 1979, before climbing significantly to 60% by 1982. It is also predicted that the percentage will reach approximateley 90% by 2030, making it the highest share among three working sectors.
Regarding the working industry with a downward trend, people working in the agriculture started at relatively the highest point (80%) and stabilized by 1977. However, the percentage then declined gradually to over 40%, before being anticipated to decrease at the lowest point (10%) in the future.
When it comes to the manufacturing sector, its employment rate started nearly at the same point as services at around 10%. Although the figure climbed to 40% in 1980, it is going to back to its beginning point again by 2030.
