The line graph provides a statistical data on the relationship between different age groups and crime, while the pie chart displays the most popular crimes as well as committed wrongdoings in the UK for the last year.
From an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the largest amount of crimes were committed by adolescents and the most common violation seems to be related to violence in general.
Moving forward to a more detailed analysis, the first 8 years of people’s life spans, the number of wrongdoings remained at 0, before starting to increase gradually at the ages of 8 to 12. There is a rapid increase of commited wrongdoings by individuals of the age 12 to 20. Nevertheless the line graph shows a dramatic decrease in crime rate from 20 to 28 and the number up until 64 stays more or less the same.
In terms of certain types of crime, the violence related crimes reached up to just under a half of all the violations, whereas drug and property crimes take up accordingly 22% and 23% followed by the lowest proportion of 9% in public order crime.
