The provided graphs illustrate facts about vehicle numbers and C02 emission in two nations England and Wales from 2000 to 2020 where the data were measured in million and tonnes.
Generally speaking, number of vehicles was in upward trend throughout the period, where car became the highest contributor to CO2 emission, while buses, vans and trucks were comparatively less.
In the year of 2000 there were only 20 million of vehicles, which strated growing steadily reaching approximately 35 million in 2010. Number of cars were increasing rapidly as their contibution to C02 emission increased from around 2.3 tonnes in 2000 to around 2.7 tonnes in 2010. By the end of year 2020 the number of vehicles was increased by 40 millions stretching out to 60 million. Whereas, cars also remained at top by contributing 2 tonnes of CO2 emission.
Trucks became the second highest contributors for the co2 emission reaching approximately 1.3 tonnes in 2020. Although, there is small increase in buses for CO2 emission however it became the least contributor throughout the year.
