In the following month, the number of visitors to the British museum soared to a peak of nearly 750 thousand people while the figures for other two museums dropped to same point, at around 450 thousand people.
From July onwards, there was a dramatic fall of 250 thousand people in the number of visitors to the British Museum, followed by a recovery to 650 thousand people at the end of the period. Similarly, the figure for the Science museum hit the lowest point at around 300 thousand people before rising to 450 thousand people in September.
