The line graph illustrates the number of automobiles produced in Argentina, Australia, and Thailand between 2003 and 2009.
Overall, while car manufacturing in both Australia and Thailand increased substantially over the period, Argentina experienced a steady decline. By the end of the timeframe, Australia became the largest producer, followed closely by Thailand, whereas Argentina recorded the lowest output.
In 2003, Argentina produced the highest number of cars, at 400 units, compared with 300 in Australia. By contrast, Thailand’s production was minimal, at only 161. Over the next two years, however, Thailand’s output rose dramatically, reaching 600 in 2005, thereby overtaking Argentina, whose figure had fallen sharply to 200. Australia’s production grew only modestly during the same period, climbing to 400.
From 2005 onwards, both Australia and Thailand continued to expand their car industries. By 2009, Australia had surged to a peak of 1,119 vehicles, narrowly surpassing Thailand at 999. In stark contrast, Argentina’s output halved again to just 100, only a quarter of its 2003 level and more than ten times lower than Australia’s final figure.
