The given line graph compares the amount of money spent on vehicles in China, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia from 1995 to 2005.
Overall, it can be seen that China was the highest spender throughout the ten-year period, while Indonesia saw the lowest figures. Moreover, although Indonesia had the lowest car spendings in the beginning, Thailand took the last place by the end of the period.
Looking in more detail at China’s expenditures, it started at a whopping $80 million in 1995, far outweighing its competitors. The number then went on a slow increase, and despite experiencing a slight drop of around $5 million from 1999 to 2003, it reached a peak of over 95 million dollars in 2005. As regards Vietnam, its vehicle expenses began at about $55 million in 1995 and saw a steady rise throughout the period, peaking in 2005 with over $75 million.
A similar pattern can be seen in Thailand and Indonesia. The former, having spent 50 million on cars in 2005, underwent a fluctuation in the next 6 years, standing at just over $60 million by 2005. Indonesia, despite beginning at a mere $30 million, saw a sharp increase from there until 2005, where it outperformed Thailand with slightly over $70 million.
