Overall, the New Zealand cities experienced higher temperatures at the beginning of the year, which gradually decreased towards the middle of the year, while the UK cities showed the opposite trend, with temperatures peaking in the middle of the year before declining again. In addition, Auckland remained the warmest city throughout the year, whereas Edinburgh recorded the lowest temperatures.
At the beginning of the year, the cities of New Zealand started at just under 25 degrees. By contrast, the cities of the United Kingdom accounted for just over 5 degrees. Auckland declined moderately, which had the highest temperature at the beginning, down to 15 during the 6th month, while at the same time the temperature of Edinburgh increased subsequently from 5 to approximately 18. The other two trends were similar regarding the pattern. Christchurch showed the lowest point among the New Zealand cities, which was 10 degrees during July and August. The highest point of temperature was recorded in London during July and August at 20 degrees. After this point, all cities again started a contrasting trend. The cities of New Zealand experienced a slight growth to approximately 22 during the next 6 months, while London and Edinburgh reduced from 20 to 7 in the last month of the year.
