The line graph illustrates the fluctuations in the share price of Outokumpu companies, measured in euros, between January 2006 and December 2010.
Overall, the share value experienced dramatic volatility throughout the five-year period, reaching two notable peaks before falling sharply and stabilizing at a relatively low level by the end.
At the beginning of 2006, the company’s shares were priced at approximately €12. Over the following year, the figure rose steeply, peaking at around €30 in mid-2007. This was followed by a moderate decline, after which prices climbed again to a similar high point of about €28 in early 2008.
However, the trend reversed sharply thereafter, as the share value plummeted to below €10 by the end of 2008. Although a partial recovery occurred in 2009, with prices reaching roughly €15, the final year of the period was marked by a gradual downturn. By December 2010, Outokumpu’s shares had settled at just over €10, slightly lower than at the start of the period
