In 2005, the popularity of Australia in tourism reached to the peak with over 30 million of overseas residents.

South Korea and Europe were at the original rankings, second and third in both years. Although, USA and Britain did not get overseas residents over a million in 1975, USA got increased visitors by 0.7 million in 2005 while Britain had dramatically increased number of tourists, 2.9 million in 2005. China was the least visited place by visitors not only in 1975 but also in 2005.
