The graph illustrates information about the export of Australia over four different countries.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that the percentage of the export in both China and India saw an overall upward trend, whilst the US and the Japan experienced an overall downward trend.
Turning to the details, despite falling from about 26% to 20% between 1990 and 2000, and then remaining stable until 2005, the figure for Japan then witnessed another decline reaching around 16% at the end of the period. Similarly, the percentage of export in US also registered a decline, but first had a remarkable fluctuation between 1990 and 2000. Next, having decreased considerably from just below 10% to approximately 5% in 2010, the figure for US export then increased marginally by about 2% during the last two years.
By contrast, the figure for export from Australia to China increased dramatically over the twenty years of the period, but during the last couple of years, it saw a minimal rise reaching the highest 27%. Between 1990 and 2010 the percentage of export to India also grew, but in moderate rate reaching 7%. Then, there was a slight decline to 5% in this figure at the end of the period.
