The line graph illustrates the proportion of individuals from five distinct age brackets in a city who attended music concerts each year between 2010 and 2015
Overall, the attendance rate rose across most age categories during the period, with the 25-44 group experiencing the most significant increase. Meanwhile, the 55-64 bracket remained relatively stable before seeing a modest decline toward the end.
Focusing on the younger age groups, the 16-24 and 25-44 brackets demonstrated high levels of concert attendance throughout the period. In 2010, just over half (around 52%) of people aged 16-24 attended music concerts – the highest of all groups. This figure then dropped sharply to 40% in 2011, before recovering quickly and remaining relatively stable at just above 50% by 2015. Meanwhile, attendance among the 25-44 age group started lower, at 40%, but rose steadily over the six-year span. It surpassed all other groups by 2015, reaching a peak of approximately 70%.
Turning to the remaining age groups, concert attendance among those aged 45–54 started at 40% in 2010. This figure declined modestly to just over 30% in 2012, before rising steadily to reach 47% by the end of the period. The 75+ age group recorded the lowest participation initially, at just 10%, but this figure doubled to 20% in 2011. Although attendance dipped slightly in the following years, it recovered to the same level by 2015.
Meanwhile, the 55–64 age group began at approximately 25% and remained relatively stable throughout the period, fluctuating slightly before falling marginally to around 22% in 2015.
