The line graph illustrates the proportion of people in five different age groups in a particular city who attended music concerts between 2010 and 2015.
Overall, the percentages of concertgoers aged 16-24, 25-44, 55-64, and 75+ increased over the period, while the figure for the 45-54 group declined initially before recovering. It is also clear that people aged 25-44 consistently made up the largest share, whereas the 75+ group remained the smallest throughout.
Looking first at the younger and middle-aged groups, the proportion of 25-44-year-olds started at roughly 40% in 2010 and rose steadily to reach 70% by 2015, making it the dominant group. Similarly, the figure for 16-24-year-olds was the highest at the beginning (around 52%), fell to 40% in 2011, and then climbed gradually to just above 50% in 2015, ranking second.
In contrast, the 45-54 age group shared the same starting point as the 25-44 group but dropped sharply to 30% in 2012 before increasing again to about 45% at the end of the period. Meanwhile, the proportion of 55-64-year-olds grew moderately from 25% to 30% before declining to 20% in 2015. Finally, attendance among the 75+ group was the lowest throughout, beginning at 10%, rising to 20% in 2011, and ending at the same level after minor fluctuations.
