Similarly, the cost for the transport and energy declined slightly from almost 10% to 5% and 6% to 1%, respectively, between 1960 and 2000.
On the other hand, European residents expended almost 9% of their money on clothes and their expenditure for clothing increased rapidly to over 13% by 1990 and over 15% by 2000.
