Overall, mostly car brands reduced their time used for manufacturing except for Ford, whcih was spend more time to produce vehicle in the whole period of time. Especially, Nissan reached the peak and the lowest point at the start and the end, respectively.
Initually, the producer spending the most time in producing cars is Nissan. This company saw a plummet in the first 2-year period. It surpassed other brands to be the company that hit the bottom in 200 with 24 hours per vehicle, and Nissan still decreased its vehicle production time to approximately 21 hours a car in 2002. Moreover, that of General Motors experienced a steadily decline from 32 hours in 1998 to roughly 25 hours in 2002.
Regarding to Daimler Chrysler and Ford, they had some noticeable changes during the period of time. Starting at the lowest point, Ford contrastly increased the time spending to create car until the highest in 2001 with 28 hours. Then, it went down by 1 hour at the end of time.
