The graph shows the number of parcels delivered by two famous mail services companies during a eighty-year period, from 1920 to 2000. Overall, the amount of parcels delivered by both companies increased throughout the period. In addition, both of the companies’ indicators intersected in 1980.
In the beginning, in 1920, FedEx was the most dominant and stood at 15,000 parcels delivered, while TNT began by merely 5,000 parcels. Over the following 20 years, each of them faced an increase, but FedEx’s growth was sharper. However, since 1940, FedEx experienced a dramatic decrease, while TNT was gradually growing, which almost followed the intersection of their indicators in 1960. Afterwards, both of the service companies encountered a significant rise that consequented their leveling up in 1980. Finally, from 1990 to 2000, TNT overtook FedEx, with a growth by 20,000 parcels delivered, relatively its initial point.
To sum up, both FedEx and TNT experienced significant growth in parcel deliveries over the 80-year period. Despite starting with the lowest number of deliveries, TNT showed consistent growth, emerging as the leading mail service provider by the end of the period.
