Overall, while male participants of tennis competion was initially predominant, there was a significant shift towards female ones over these three decades. It is also clear that the total number of partakers decreased noticeably throughout the given period, with the exception of the second decade.
In 1980, men were a predominant gender in the tennis competitors with being took part by 60 men compared to 15 women participants – marking a fourfold difference. By 1985, the pattern shifted. The number of female participants increased by only 5, while male partakers decreased dramatically to around 45 – narrowing the initial gap. This trend continued in the number of women and men participants until the year 2000, with reaching 40 and 20 respectively. The number of male partakers surpassed female ones as a dominant gender and remained unchanged its figure for the rest of the period shown. However, there was a slight decline in the females participating in this competion , accounting for a mere 15 of overall number of participants.
As for the total number of participants in tennis competion, 75 people participated in this tournement in 1980. By 1990, the figure had decreased noticeably, reaching 60 participants. Throughout the next twenty-year period, this figure stayed the same level, before decreasing to 55 at the end of the given period.
