The line graph demonstrates the cost for watching films from the year 2005 to 2011. Moreover, the pie chart shows the changes in the percentage of market share, represented by three forms; cinema ticket, DVD and legal download between these years.
The overall view of the line chart presents that all three forms had a rise in cost from 2005 to 2011. It can be seen that cinema ticket had a general upward trend, rapidly growing from about nine pounds to 14 pounds and in addition, DVD also had a gradual rise in cost, climbing from six pounds to eight pounds in the time period. However, legal download first experienced a dip, falling from eight pounds to six pounds then it had a sudden surge to nine pounds.
The pie chart illustrates that two of the market share representatives had a reduction in their shares from 2005 to 2011. Renting a DVD fell from 64 shares to 56, and additionally going to the cinema also had a fall from 30 shares to 18. On the hand the only market share that had a massive peak in this chart was watching online, which went from six shares to 26.
In conclusion, the general price for watching movies had a rising tendency. Moreover, the popularity of downloading and watching movies online grew exponentially in this six-year period.
