The line graph illustrates the monthly revenue of four types of cafés in New York City over a one-year period.
Overall, most cafés experienced an upward trend in earnings, whereas the Tea Room showed a noticeable decline. Although it initially generated the highest revenue, it was eventually overtaken by the Wi-fi Café, which became the top-earning brand by the end of the year.
In terms of Internet Express, its revenue fell from $100 to approximately $90 in the first month. It then rose slightly in March before remaining stable at around $80 until July. From August onwards, the figure increased steadily, reaching a peak of $140 in December.
Both Wi-fi Café and Café Cool recorded significant growth. Café Cool consistently had the lowest income among the four cafés; however, its revenue doubled to $120 in the final month. Meanwhile, Wi-fi Café saw steady growth during the first five months. After fluctuating at around $20 between May and September, it surged dramatically, exceeding $120 and peaking at nearly $200 in December.
The Tea Room began at $160, the highest figure initially, before dropping to about $130. It then rose to a peak of nearly $180 in April. However, revenue declined sharply to around $120 by June and fluctuated slightly before falling significantly to approximately $50 at the end of the period.
