The line graph illustrates how many kilometers an average car travelled in five distinct countries from 1990 to 2010.
Overall, there was an increase in the number of kilometers travelled per car in the United States and Britain, while a reverse trend was seen in the left three countries. In addition, it is clear that the United States maintained its position as the top performer, which conversed Japan, having by far the lowest figure in the given 20-year span.
The distance travelled by car in kilometer in the United States started at about 1750 kilometers, after which it experienced a slight growth, before ending at precisely 1800 kilometers, despite some fluctuations throughout the period. A similar change was witnessed in the figure for British car, with a moderate rise from around 1300 kilometers in 1990 to north of 1400 kilometers in 2010.
Approximately 700 kilometers were the distance travelled each car in Japan in the first year examined, followed by a drastic drop to exactly 400 kilometers in 2010. Similarly, but to lesser extents, the figures for Germany and France began at 1600 and 1000 kilometers, after which they subsequently remained stable, before ending at 1370 and 900 kilometers respectively.
