The line graph shows the number of people travellig to one company by six different methods, namely walking, cycling, driving and public transport between 2012 and 2019.

Different countries in the world are improving their sustainability regarding the different means of transportation for the sake of the planet and the alarming rise of global warming. From 2012 to 2019, the use of some methods of travelling to work have decreased, others have in contrary increased whereas some others remained stable.

First of all, driving which is also known as the most common means of transportation has become less popular : in 2012, 900 thousands of ppeople were driving to go to work when in 2019, only a little less that 300 thousands people did. Walking and cycling became the new trends and went from almost 250 thousands of people walking and cycling in 2012 to approximately 500 thousands in 2019. The other transportation tendencies remained at the same level. In 2012, a hundred thousand of people were taking the bus aswell as in 2019. Similarly, around 80 thousands of people chosed taking the underground in 2012 just as seven years later.

The rise of the walking and cycling tendencies on this graph highights the fact that UK citizens probably took in account the threat of pollution to the planet and decided to take action by choosing greener means of transportation and leaving their car in their garage.
