Overall, women aged 18-25 and 26-34 witnessed a constant increase during the period, while men aged 18-25 and 26-34 saw a noticeable decrease. Notably, men aged 26-34 had the highest proportion compared to other three groups, whereas, women aged 18-25 remained the lowest despite the increase.
Men aged 26-34 consistently had the highest employment rate throughout the period, starting at about 92% in 1976 and ending slightly lower at around 88% in 2010. In contrast, in 1976, the employment rate for men aged 18-25 stood at about 75% and decreasing noticeably to roughly 68% by 2010.
Women aged 18-25 started with an employment rate of about 52% in 1976. This figure increased slowly until the early 1990, reaching approximately 58% and rose more steadily to around 63% in 2010. However, women aged 26-34 saw the most dramatic growth, beginning at roughly 48% in 1976. By 2010, their employment rate rose sharply to 79%.
