In detail, the obesity rate in age group 18-29 year-olds started at approximately 8% in 1971 and remained stable until 1976, before increasing significantly to nearly 25% in 2001. Following this, it then remained unchanged until the end of the period. Subsequently, the obesity rate in age group 30-40 year-olds began at around 15% in 1971, then remained at the same level until 1976. This trend then rose dramatically to about 30% in 1999, before declining and returning to approximately 36% in 2005.
Additionally, the obesity rate in age group 45-64 years old started at around 17% in 1971 and sharply increased to nearly 35% in 1999. After that, the figure then remained unchanged until 2003 and climbed to reach a peak of around 40% in 2005. Similarly, the obesity rate in age bracket 65-74 years old started at around17% in 1971 and dramatically rose to about 35% in 1999. Moreover, this figure then remained stable until the end of the period.
