Overall, there was an upward trend in the percentage of Australian goods exported to India and China, while US and Japan witnessed an opposite trend over the period shown. It is immediately evident that in 1990, Japan was dominant destination for Australian export with around 27% compared to just over 10% for the United States. China and India, on the other hand, experienced a negligible figure with rougly 2% and 3%, respectively.
Afterward, the data for Japan consistent fell in a range of 5% over 5 years before remained fairly stable at 18% to 20% in the remaining time.
