Two given graphs illustrates the rates of urban and rural population across the world and three difference age cohorts worlwide between 1950 and 2040.
Overall, it is apparent that the first chart shows the rapid increase in the share of urban and total populations, regardless of the unchanged trends in almost period shown. Meanwhile, the second chart depicts that people, who aged in a range from 15 to 65 experienced a sharp growth, while the other age groups had the same trend from 1970 onwards.
In first line graph, the figure for urban residents was higher than that of rural at around 1%, and the total populations among both areas approximately 10% in 1950. From 1960 onwards the fluctuation of the population experienced a difference in the rate of total and urban people from rural counterpart, which showcased that people switched from rural to urban area. Meanwhile the trends of citizens and total population rose rapidly to 37% and 44%, respectively in the final year. The number of people who lived in rural area fluctuated slightly at below 10% through the period.
Turning to the second graph, the figures for three categories were similar at roughly 5% in the beginning year. However, in 1960, the document patterns varied obviously, with the increase of under 15 bracket and 15-65 age group, while the figure for the people who aged over 65 was declined. From 1970 onwards, only 15-65 group experienced a constant growth to exactly 35% in 20240 and at about 5% in both remaining groups.
