Band 6: The map above shows the development of the village of Ryemouth between 1995 and present (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The maps illustrate the changes that have been taken place in village since 1995.

Overall, it is clear to see that the village has been transformed from the spacious area to more recreational area, with new holiday homes, apartment and sport courses added in the north-east. In fact, the only thing that has remained unchanged in location are housing and hotel.

Turning to details, significant changes have been made on the north of the village. A new restaurant has been built on the west, replacing a sport complex to meet a gastronomical needs of local residents. In the north of the new restaurant, the housing area premises has been expanded to better serve residential needs. In addition, a new holiday homes has been constructed, replacing a public park and car park near has been added to accommodate more cars.

On the other hand, the southern side saw the least changes. A fishing market has been replaced by the construction of new apartment. Road has been extended along with coffee. Additionally, a new facilities has been added, such as yachts to renovate the fishing system.
