The maps illustrate a manufacturing site in the town of Norbiton and its planned changes.
Overall, the Norbiton industrial area today is comprised of a roundabout in the middle of the town,with factories covering the center to the east of the area and a river and farmland in the north of the map. The planned growth of the area will experienced a huge change on roads and facilities.
According to the planned development , two new roads and a roundabout will be constructed.The first road will paved over the empty area in the north-west side of the map, the second road will be built to the north and connected to the farmland via bridge and it will be taken up some space of the farmland leaving a space for it to only remain in the north-east corner of the area and a smaller roundabout for the south road.
Moreover, facilities will be added to the area, Schools will be constructed in the east, as well as the playground, shops and medical center will also be added,which will be located around the existing roundabout. Factories throughout the area will be demolished and replaced by housing, there will be 7 of them, one will be relocated next to the newly constructed road to the farmland and another in the north of the river inside the farmland, three in the east near the school and playground, and two in the new north-west road.
