The image contains two graphic representations of an American town, one from 1954 and another from 2014, showing changes over time. In 1954, the town had a canal and river running through it, with a main road adjacent to houses and a park running perpendicular to the river; parallel to the main road were a secondary road and railway line, with factories situated between the railway and river. By 2014, the secondary road had been expanded into a dual carriageway, the park had been replaced by a shopping center, a new sports center existed where factories once stood, and an airport had been constructed beyond the railway to the east.
Given the complexity of the image, the above description may not be entirely accurate.

The map illustrates the development of a town in America between the years of 1954 and 2014.
Overall, the biggest changes can be seen in the left side of the canal, which evolved from a residential area with factories to a commercial area. Conversely, the rest of the town almost remained the same.
On the one hand, the factories, which were in the north-west area of the town in 1954, were replaced by the airport and commercial buildings. In the same way, the park beside the factory area was replaced by a supermarket. Finally, the local supermarket and the residential houses situated in the southwest area of the town 50 years ago have been replaced by more commercial buildings.
Despite these changes, the petrol station in the north of the town and the residential houses in the southeast have been maintained until 2014. However, the only changed that can be seen on this side of the river is the replacement of the church by a sports stadium.
