The given maps showed the development of the village of Rye mouth between 1995 and recently.
Overall, it can clearly be seen the village has totally transformed from a center of fish village to a central of resident. Moreover, there is a significant change from forest and farm to sport center.
In the terms of village prior development, the resident only lives in north side and the open space on the east side. The open space included forest park and a farmland. As a central of fish, there is hotel located in south side across the cafe and have a view of the sea. Fish port is located to a south side and have a quick access to the fish market and shop.
Moreover, the new village has been replaced the central of fish to a central of resident. The central of fish in the west south side has totally changes in detail of shops has become a restaurant and the fish market become an apartment with a direct view of the sea because the fishing port be removed. There’s some enlargement of the residential area on the west south side. On the east side the open space has been converted to sport center and have a facilitates of tennis and golf. Hotel and café remaining untouched but there is a new car parking right beside the hotel.
In conclusion, the development of the new village focusing on the resident facilities which is proved by the change function from open space to sport center.
